Our systems will run a few quick checks from various places around the world and report back some basic information on the performance. Things like the total time for response, DNS response time, Time to First Byte (TTFB), total size, and transfer rate. You'll get each of these stats for ten different locations around the globe. This basic information can tell you right away if you have an issue (or whatever URL you entered), but of course it isn't a complete picture. If you want you can click on the individual results and see greater details, a performance graph and even the content of the packets. Still this is just a sampling of the information you'll have access to with a full account.

Our other free feature is a demo account. This provides limited access to our control panel interface for remote server monitoring in the form of a read only account. It monitors well known websites like Amazon, MSN, and Yahoo. The information there is real, so you can get a sense of the different options, ease of use, and the general look and feel of our server monitoring service. Feel free to flip through the menus, the devices, reports or anything else that catches your eye. Since it is read only you can't mess anything up but you have full freedom to check it all out.

The first thing you'll notice when you log in is a quick visual guide to the status of each device or website being monitored. A green checkmark is good, a red exclamation point is bad. Self-explanatory really. From there you can click on each entry and see individual statistics, how you'd set up alerts, maintenance schedules, reports, etc.
