Our Response To POODLE
New Security Vulnerability
Due to the recently discovered SSL security vulnerability (POODLE) we have no choice but to take the immediate precaution of disabling SSLv3 on all our web servers. In order to give our customers time to prepare, we'll be doing this on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00am EDT. Here's a link to more info about the POODLE vulnerability.
Impact
Services affected:
- app.alertra.com
- www.alertra.com
- mobile.alertra.com
- api.alertra.com
Visitors using Internet Explorer version 6 (IE6) will no longer be able to access these services using SSL. Users of client software accessing our API at api.alertra.com will also need to ensure that their software supports TLSv1 (most modern HTTP clients do). We will be very surprised if any of our customers are using software or technology that can't handle this change, so you probably won't even notice. But if you happen to run into trouble, please let us know and we'll do our best to help you come up with a solution.
